AIA Award

Cluck wins Awards from AIA Charlotte for both Mac's Speed Shop and The Red Barn House!

"On the Boards" We can't talk specifics, but it's not a condo !!!

Level Up! (We've Moved!)

Cluck has moved on up to Elizabeth Avenue.

We're now at:

1523 Elizabeth Ave, Suite 120

Charlotte, NC 28204

The new space will offer more room, more parking and more of all good stuff you've come to expect from our firm.

Of course, our Bicycle Shop, The Spoke Easy, is coming with us.  It all makes sense, really.  We believe that bicycles and good design- especially together- can make the world a better place.

Our new location will allow The Spoke Easy & Cluck to live in one space.  We think of it as a reverse mullet:  party in the front (the bicycles), business in the back (award winning design).

We couldn't be more excited to strengthen our ties to the community and make the Queen City an even better place to live and ride.  We'll see you in Elizabeth in November, and stay tuned for details about our big bash to celebrate it all, including The Spoke Easy's three year birthday and Cluck's 10 year anniversary.

(We hear tin or aluminum is an appropriate 10 year anniversary gift.  We'll settle for knocking back a cold one with you.)

See you soon!

AIA Award

Cluck wins a 2014 NC AIA Award for The Red Barn House in San Clemente, California.

Kevin Kennedy travels to Haiti for Sante Se Riches Medikal

The Haitian Heritage & Friends of Haiti (HHFoH) is a grassroots community based non-profit organization strongly committed to strengthen and improve the quality of life of the Haitian Community. After the devastating earthquake in 2010, HHFoH decided to become an integral part in the relief and rebuilding of Haiti while partnering with the international community. Early 2014, HHFoH started working on a medical clinic for the earthquake victims in the Northern rural area of Haiti.

Kevin traveled to Haiti in April to survey the land for the hospital. While he was there, he evaluated the wind conditions, water sources and energy connections. A pivotal part of this project was to use all of the existing elements that were around such as native thorny plants as security methods and to take inventory of items that could be salvaged and reused in the area.

Cluck wins a 2013 AIA Honor Award for Atypic's Office Upfit.

"This little project really captured us with its material treatment, with a few simple moves in a small space."

Michael Arad, Designer of the World Trade Center Memorial

"It's a wonderful thing when you are working a project out like this, ... and find that set of pieces that make it magic."

Gabriel Smith, Thomas Pfifer and Partners, Designer of the North Carolina Museum of Art
