Mother of Dragons transforms a former FedEx office into a community hub for all types of tabletop games, as well as books, wine, and coffee. The design reimagines the retail space by removing the middle wall and pouring a new concrete floor to create an expansive, open-concept layout. 

A custom bar anchors the space, featuring a striking green scalloped tile backsplash that evokes a dragon’s scales, with dark Raven Quartz countertops and elegant arched shelving. Warm wood tones and sleek, emerald-upholstered barstools create an inviting, tavern-like atmosphere. 

The floor plan caters to diverse patron experiences. The main retail area has floor-to-ceiling shelving packed with games, solid wood tables, and mustard-orange chairs for communal play. A cozy lounge offers mid-century modern armchairs and leather ottomans, while rustic sliding barn doors enclose private breakout rooms for events and group gaming. By completely reworking the lighting with stylish pendants, the design successfully elevates the space into a sophisticated, welcoming sanctuary. So while the name conjures images of mythical legends, the space is grounded in the real-world joy of gathering together to build community and share stories.
