Nestled in NODA’s historic mill village fabric, Haberdish exemplifies a focus on detail and creative problem solving. The design combined a desire for a cohesive indoor/outdoor dining experience and for a modern restaurant that features refined southern food with a twist. Just as the chefs serve ethical and local, southern-inspired food, the design of the space enhances the preexisting structure and creates a welcoming atmosphere. The industrial color palette contrasts the washed brick and warm Edison lighting. Barn-style patio doors and expansive front windows promote a flow of views and connect interior and exterior dining areas. To enhance this relationship, the horizontal, white beams continue from the restaurant interior to the patio pergola structure. Simple, functional details ornament the restaurant to provide a clean, welcoming ambiance for the customer.
