LA VECINA NOW OPEN IN PLAZA MIDWOOD!

We are excited to share that La Vecina has launched its soft opening phase! It was awesome to help our friends Carlos Nuñez, Victor Abad, and Ken Thomas transform a former smoke shop and sandwich place into this eye-catching outdoor neighborhood hotspot.

To bring that authentic walk-up taco stand vibe to Central Ave, we kicked the design up a notch with lots of character-rich details. Some highlights include using 100-year-old Mexican doors for the restrooms and incorporating a walk-up window for quick to-go orders. Combined with bright colors, cactus planters, umbrellas, and delicious agave cocktails, the space really takes you on a journey.

MEET QUACK, OUR LATEST DESIGN CONCEPT IN DEVELOPMENT

Together with our clients, we’re re-imagining the traditional gas station experience, turning it into a more modern convenience store and lifestyle hub. The goal is to bring genuine hospitality to the everyday roadside stop.

At around 5,800 square feet, the Quack Roadside Market features a clean, minimalist design with a signature canopy that acts as a brand beacon. Speaking of branding, Cluck is also excited to deliver this concept turnkey, incorporating a custom logo and graphic design.

We’ve ditched the generic look to design a super cool space packed with personality, featuring an in-house deli, a cozy cafe with bubble pendant lights, and an outdoor turf patio. With future-forward EV charging, a food truck spot, and flexible spaces designed for socializing, it’s built for both quick stops and lingering moments. We can’t wait to share more as this project moves forward.
