After being closed for almost 6 years, this beloved South End landmark has reopened its doors in LoSo Village. The familiar multicolored tile floors, stainless steel bar, chalkboard menu, and iconic comic book column all pay homage to the original location. Balancing nostalgia with fresh design elements, stepping into this space allows you to reminisce about your favorite burrito spot while creating new memories with friends.
Outside, murals that adorned the original Phat Burrito are once again brought to life by the talented original artist, Jay Crider, ensuring a true continuation of the restaurant’s visual identity. The spacious outdoor patio also faces the grounds of the former Queen Park Drive-in—a perfect intersection of Charlotte’s past and future.
