Hearst Plaza
Charlotte, NC

The Hearst Tower Plaza is a departure from the typical downtown Charlotte plaza. By forging connections with existing buildings, and inserting pedestrian scaled elements, the plaza brings life, and a concetration of street-level retail storefronts to the front door of this 46 story tower. Originally buried within the adjacent Mint Museum of Craft + Design, the museum shop was relocated to the plaza. A sandwich shop with rooftop terrace was added for Ri-Ra, an Irish Pub that borders the project. Additional retail spaces include a gallery and two restaurants.
